Porthleven Food Festival – 16th – 17th April 2016

Porthleven Food Festival

Established only 7 years ago Porthleven Food Festival has firmly established itself as a “must go” for foodies. Attracting internationally renowned chefs, still to be announced for 2016 – previous stars included Anthony Worrall Thompson and Rick Stein, amongst many Michelin start chefs. The festival organised by local volunteers attracts over 20,000 visitors. The organisers focus their efforts on stimulating the local economy by involving the whole community and promoting the awareness of the extent and quality of locally produced food.

Tropical Pressure Festival – 15th – 17th July 2015

Tropical Pressure Festival

The festival in a stunning Cornish location based on spacious, green organic farm above Porthtowan. Headline bands are still to be announced but, the festival has lots for everyone including a popular kids zone to keep the family interested all weekend. The campsite has space for campervans but these go pretty quickly, also for 2016 there will be a dedicated family area with a noise restriction from 10pm.

Perhaps, more uniquely – Tropical Pressure is a 100% vegetarian festival – bringing together top vegetarian chefs and street food stall – which offer food for all the family to enjoy. There will also be a World Food Market in the Roots Arena.

Cornwall Folk Festival – 26th – 29th August 2016

Cornwall Folk Festival

The Annual Cornwall Folk Festival in Wadebridge, Cornwall – is literally a bank holiday weekend of music and dance. If you want to do it in a camper van then they recommend the Little Bodieve Holiday Park locally. For 3 days, just take everything in your stride enjoying great music and company. The festival spills into the town centre and the local area. There will also be Cornish Young Folk Musician of the Year.
