The description was perfect and well-balanced, managing my expectations of the driving experience and little quirks. We fell in love with Bertie instantly and had so much fun.

A weekend with Bertie in the Isle of Wight was the best fun and we are doing it again...this time for 5 days in Monty! If you want modern, power steering, air conditioning, or modern gadgets, gizmos, buttons and lights, then this isn't for you. If you want to feel young again, have fun, laugh for no reason and remember how it used to be to drive old skool then don't hesitate...get on and book yourself a VW....get out there and just drive!

Bertie was great fun and very comfy, clean and reliable.

After getting used to driving the van, we enjoyed a great time away, thank you.

We had a wonderful family holiday in Bertie. We didn't want to say goodbye at the end of our week, and we will certainly be back in Bertie (or one of his stable-mates) next summer.

The look and visible condition of the vehicle was great, but on a long journey the drivability of the vehicle was substandard (even for a vintage vehicle). The amount of play in the steering made it extremely hard work to drive and keep in a straight line either on freeways or country roads. Constant large steering corrections were constantly needed for every tiny bump or turn making the driving tiring and not fun.

Bertie was everything we could have hoped for and more, had everything we needed for our weekend away.

What a great week. Loved Bertie, thank you

Bertie is a cool dude! Unfortunately, we had a wash out week weather wise, but Bertie was warm, dry, comfortable and had plenty of room. We put him through his paces, with some pretty scary roads in the national parks, but he got us around safely and took on every challenge - I was really surprised. The only comment we could make is that the window covers and curtains could do with a bit of attention - There are poppers around the windows, but no poppers on the curtains and pretty much all the magnets were missing. We made it private at night time, but this could be made a lot easier. Perhaps also some pockets for the doors at the front of the van, and cup holders. But hey, camping isn't total luxury! Most definitely hiring again - thanks very much! x
